COVID Large Gathering & EVENTS Information FOR MORE THAN 500 ATTENDEES

  • Effective September 26, 2020
  • Organizers must develop and submit to the Spencer County Health Department a written plan outlining the steps being taken to mitigate against COVID-19.
  • This plan must be submitted 2 weeks prior to scheduled event.  It must be submitted to kstallings@spencercountyhealth.com and registrar@spencercountyhealth.com
  • Also applies to seasonal or special events such as fairs, festivals, parades, graduations, outdoor concerts, outdoor movies (other than drive-ins), family reunions, conferences or weddings.

  • Capacity Limits
  • Guest Information
  • Staff and volunteer screening
  • Social distancing measures
  • Increased sanitation
  • Face coverings
  • Compliance
  • Monitoring and enforcement plan
  • Local health departments review and will approve or disapprove event plans
  • Local Health departments and event organizers should consider current conditions when assessing whether to reduce the number of attendees, postpone or cancel events
